White Peak Wire Works Alter Ego

A lightly-peated English whisky from White Peak distillery, Alter Ego has been distilled with alternative cut points to previous Wire Works releases, opting for a richer fruit character to complement the soft peat smoke. Matured in a combination of STR and first-fill ex-bourbon casks, it offers aromas of lemon meringue, sherbet, fresh ginger, vanilla pastry, fruit salad sweets and caramel cream on the nose. The palate brings notes of honey, cream soda, caramel, gingerbread, malted milk biscuits and mango, followed by lingering gooseberries, shortbread and peat smoke in the finish.
